Master of Nutrition and Dietetics

A Pathway to the profession of dietetics, this coursework Masters integrates theoretical and practical components across clinical dietetics, food service, community and public health and research.

Students are trained to understand and interpret nutrition science, assess nutritional needs, conduct research and give dietary advice for general health and specialised requirements, including medical conditions and improved performance.

Afgestudeerden komen in aanmerking om volwaardig lid te worden van de Dietitians Australia (DA) en deel te nemen aan het Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) -programma. APD is het enige diploma dat in Australië wordt erkend door de overheid en veel particuliere zorgverzekeraars.

Studenten kunnen kiezen uit drie bacheloropleidingen die een Pathway bieden naar de Master of Nutrition and Dietetics: de Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition Bioscience Major), de Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Nutrition Science Major) of de Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sports Wetenschap) met een aanbevolen reeks keuzevakken. Afgestudeerden van de Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sports Science) komen ook in aanmerking om zich te registreren bij Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA), waardoor ze de kans krijgen voor dubbele accreditatie (ESSA en APD).
